About Me
|
Location: Chester, USA Age: 49 Sex: Male
Games: Stargate Worlds, World of Warcraft, Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures
Interests: If someone said, that I could only have one hobby in life, it would definitely be music. I started playing guitar around 1975. I had a pretty good voice having been in chorus from the 3rd grade and with a very musical musician father and grandfather, I guess it was in my blood. I played guitar and sang lead vocals in most of the Philly area bands I was in through the late 70s. In the 80s and early 90s I was doing pretty much lead vocals. Due to traveling for work in the 90s, I hung up my quest for rock and roll stardom. In the early 00's I built a digital recording studio in my house just for fun. I still do a bit of recording. I currently have about a dozen guitars with the pride of my collection being a Gibson Historic Collection Reissue 1957, 3 pick up Les Paul Custom, the "Black Beauty".
Other than music I got into PC gaming in the mid-90s. After reading many PC mags I started building my own PCs. In fact, I built a digital audio capture PC for my home studio.
When I'm not gaming or singing, I like to watch the tube, cruise forums, read and spend time with my wonderful wife Wendy and our 7 cats.
Movies: Yeah I like movies. Sci Fi and fantasy of course with some horror/gore and comedy in the mix.
Music: In the 60s I listened to what my parents did. My dad was a jazz musician so I was exposed to everything from swing to be bop to improve. Mom was into R&B and there was rarely a time when she didn't have the Supremes or Temptations going.
Then one day, visiting my cousin, he put on some albums. In that one night I was exposed to Aerosmith, Bowie, T-Rex, Queen and a few others. From then on I was a rocker. I love 60s and 70s classic rock, 70s and early 80s punk, some 80s new wave, 90s grunge and I've recently taken a liking to deathcore but really don't dig the cookie monster on vocals in every one of those bands - the musicianship is amazing though and that I can appreciate.
TV: My hands down favorite series of all time is Stargate:SG1. Although I was raised on Star Trek, that interest fell along the wayside when I first saw Stargate. I'm a huge Sci Fi fan however I was never into Star Wars, go figure.
Other than that, I dig fantasy, medical, and comedy shows. Think Entourage, Weeds and House.
